Salman is planning to release his film 'Radhey: Your Most Wanted Bhai' on Diwali. While this festive date is already booked for Akshay Kumar's historical drama 'Prithviraj'.
The rest of 'Radhey' will be shot in Mumbai
Salman's 'Radhey' and Akshay's 'Lakshmi Bomb' were to be released on Eid first. However, the cinema hall closed due to the lockdown and this large clash was averted. There is a buzz that 'Lakshmi Bomb' will now be released on the OTT platform. At the same time, the makers of 'Radhe' will complete the remaining shooting in Mumbai and release it on Diwali.
'Prithviraj' is also set to come on Diwali!
According to Pinkvilla's report, sources close to Yash Raj Films have confirmed that the production house Akshay Kumar is planning to release the starrer 'Prithviraj' on Diwali. The film's outdoor sets have been broken. But Aditya Chopra has also asked his team to make indoor sets.
Aditya along with limited technicians and staff has made a firm plan to shoot his film inside the studio. He is absolutely sure about the film and is in touch with the exhibitors. If these discussions are to be believed, then the collision of 'Radhe' and 'Prithviraj' is considered almost certain.
Tension in the relationship between the two stars from 2018
Salman and Akshay are very good friends for years. The two have openly praised each other on several occasions. But according to the news, in 2018, the relationship between the two got tense when Salman withdrew from the co-production of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Kesari'. However, both of them never let it be known.
Clash first surfaced in March 2019
In March 2019, Akshay announced on social media that his film 'Suryavanshi' will be released on Eid in 2020. While Salman had finalized this date for 'InshaAllah', he later dropped out due to personal reasons.
Going forward, Salman announced 'Radhey' for Eid and changed the release date of his film by talking to Rohit Shetty, the creator of 'Suryavanshi'. However, later Akshay Kumar announced the release of his other film 'Laxmi Bomb' for the same date. After this the lockdown was declared and the films could not be released.
