The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) made a big announcement informing that the Indian Economic Service Examination will not be conducted this year. The commission gave information about this by issuing a notification on the official website www.upsc.gov.in. According to the issued notification, this year the economic service exam will not be conducted due to lack of vacancy.
Finance Ministry did not inform about the vacancy
According to the statement of the UPSC, “The Indian Economic Service Examination, 2020 will not be held due to the NIL vacancy reported for the Indian Economic Service by the Ministry of Finance.” UPSC conducts examination every year for recruitment in various services under government departments and ministries. For this, the Commission also informs about the recruitments issued by various government departments and ministries. However, this year the Commission will not conduct any examination for the Economic Service due to non-receipt of any vacancy from the Finance Ministry.
UPSC calendar released
Earlier, the UPSC has released its new calendar for civil services. According to the schedule released, the pre-examination of the civil service will be held on October 4. After which the main exam of the civil service will take place on 8 January 2021. Along with the announcement of exam dates, UPSC also said that the civil service main exam 2019, which was stopped due to coronavirus, will now be resumed from July 20, 2020.
