The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala issued a notification informing that the remaining class 12th examination in the state is being canceled. Earlier, the board had announced that it would conduct the examination of geography paper only for the students of class 12 and canceled the exam for the remaining optional subjects. It was postponed from examination due to the lockdown following the increasing cases of coronavirus.

Results may come by the end of June

The board said that the result of the examination will be released on the basis of the examination of four subjects already conducted. To pass, students have to score 33 percent marks in each subject and 33 percent marks in aggregate. Last year, 62.01 percent of the students in class 12th in the state had passed the examination. This time Class 12th results are expected by the end of June. However, exact dates are yet to be announced by the board.

10th class results declared

Earlier, Himachal Pradesh Board released the results of class 10th on 9 June. This time, a total of 1.5 lakh students had appeared in the 10th examination. The exam was conducted at 2,227 centers across Himachal Pradesh. These examinations were held between 22 February to 19 March. At the same time, the state board has started 15 new vocational courses for the next academic session from class 9th to class 12th. Through these courses, there will be job opportunities in various fields.
