Methods To Reduce Mental Stress Will Be Taught In College Under The Fit India Campaign

Various types of fitness programs for students have already been started in schools across the country.

new Delhi: Under the Fit India campaign, attention will also be given to the physical and mental health of students studying in higher educational institutions. On the initiative of UGC, they will be given training in mental fitness to improve mental health of students.

Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, “UGC has issued special guidelines for institutes of higher education, under which fitness campaigns for students will be run.”

Various types of fitness programs for students have already been started in schools across the country. Although the fitness program being started in the field of higher education can be of different levels. In this, students will also be taught ways to reduce mental stress.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development has worked to link online courses with physical and fitness. After this initiative of the ministry, now trained teachers of yoga and physical fitness are teaching students the tricks to exercise while staying indoors. Apart from this, methods of maintaining mental balance are also being taught to students through online courses.

Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has spoken to Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju with an aim to ensure fitness of students. After this, CBSE and Fit India have run a special session of physical education on online channel started for students as a joint effort.

Fitness programs organized for school students across the country can also be seen through social media such as Facebook and Instagram. There is a facility for students to download workout and yoga classes.

It is worth noting that this special classes, designed keeping in mind the health of the students, are being run with the help of the Fit India program of the Union Sports Ministry. In these classes, basic exercises for students, information on nutrition in food, yoga, meditation and immunity tips will be given online.
