Due to the coronavirus epidemic, CBSE has decided to cancel the 10th, 12th examinations to be held from July 1 to 15. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta gave this information to the Supreme Court on behalf of the government on Thursday. However, students of class 12 have also been given the option to give exams. CBSE has given this option to the students of class 12th that they can also opt to take the exam after the condition of Corona is normal. After the situation is normal, the board will conduct the class 12th examination for those students, then they will opt for the examination. Whereas CBSE has canceled the remaining examinations of 10th and no provision has been given for re-examination.
The board has told the Supreme Court that two options will be provided to the students of class 12th. They will be given numbers based on their performance in the last three exams conducted at the school. Along with this, students will also be given the option to appear in the improvement examination to be held after a few months. If students want later, they will be able to improve their marks by joining the improvement exam. Apart from this, students can apply on the basis of internal marks. Results can be declared in mid-August. An official notification regarding this will be released on Friday. Only after which the whole situation will be clear.
Let us know that the remaining examinations of CBSE Board 10th which have been canceled were to be held in North-East Delhi. The examinations were postponed due to violence in this area. Also, curfew was imposed in north-east Delhi.
On the subject of board examinations, the Delhi government had told the Union Human Resource Development Ministry, work is being done to distribute ration in 251 government schools of Delhi. Delhi government is planning to use 242 schools to cater to the need of extra beds for corona patients. In 33 schools, people are being fed, 39 schools are being used as shelter homes, 10 transit migrant camps and 10 schools as quarantine centers.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also wrote a letter to Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank regarding the 10th and 12th class board examinations. Manish Sisodia told the central government, it is very difficult to conduct board examinations in the circumstances that have arisen due to coronavirus. Given the current situation, these board examinations should be canceled. Results of students of 10th and 12th classes should be declared on the basis of pre board or internal examinations.
