Corona: 2 crore N95 masks and 1 crore PPE kit given free to these states by the Center

In addition, more than 6.12 crore HCQ tablets have been distributed in hospitals.

The Health Ministry has issued a statement on Friday and confirmed this. In its statement, the Ministry reported the efforts of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Ministry of Textiles and Pharmaceuticals, Department of Industry and Internal Trade Promotion (DPIIT) etc. The Ministry stated that the Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and others, domestic industry, have been encouraged to manufacture and supply necessary medical equipment such as PPE kits, N95 masks, ventilators etc. during this period.

The ministry informed in the statement that so far 11,300 indigenous ventilators have been prepared and sent to various states, union territories and central institutions, out of which 6,154 ventilators were already delivered to various hospitals. According to the Ministry of Health, Corona will help to bridge the large gap in availability required for the treatment of infected patients.

Let it be said that MoHFW is also ensuring the supply of 1.02 lakh oxygen cylinders in various states. In the statement, the ministry further said that since April 1, 7.81 lakh PPE and 12.76 lakh N95 masks have been supplied in Delhi, 11.78 lakh PPE and 20.64 N95 masks in Maharashtra, and 5.39 lakh PPE by MoHFW and 9.81 in Tamil Nadu. Lakh N95 masks are given.
