72,049 new cases of corona in the country, number of infected cross 67 lakh

new Delhi: The number of infected people increased to 67,57,131 on Wednesday after 72,049 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the country. Out of which 57,44,693 people became healthy after getting infection free, the rate was 85.02.

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am, the number of infected people increased to 67,57,131 in the last 24 hours. While the death toll rose to 1,04,555 after the death of 986 more people.

Death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.55 percent. According to statistics, 9,07,883 people are being treated in the country, which is 13.44 percent of the total cases.

According to data from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 8,22,71,654 samples have been tested till October 6 and out of these 11,99,857 samples were tested on Tuesday.

On the other hand, World Bank President David Malpass said on Monday that due to coronavirus epidemic, there could be a significant increase in the death rate of children in developing countries.

Melpas said this during a virtual discussion ahead of the annual meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund coming up next week. He said, “Initial estimates suggest that the lack of health services and food may lead to a possible increase in the child mortality rate of up to 45 percent.”
