This is a disease in which there is a possibility of death of up to 50%. The name of this disease is Mucormycosis.

What is Mucormycosis?

Mucormycosis is a fungal infection in which only 50% of the patient’s chances of survival. This disease is happening to people who are corona (Covid-19) Have recovered from In this, the effigies of the people come out. Most patients recovering from this disease also lose their eyesight.

2 out of 5 patients died

According to the report published in the English newspaper Times of India, Dr. Parth Rana, Retina and ocular trauma surgeon from Ahmedabad, gave information about the patients suffering from this disease. According to Dr. Partha, so far 5 patients have come to him due to this disease, out of which 2 have died. Apart from this, the eyesight of 2 people who have been cured has gone. All these patient corona (Covid-19) Came right after recovering from it.

Diabetic patients are more at risk

All the patients who were victims of this disease were either diabetic, or they used to take some intoxication. Their immunity was very weak. Dr. Rana says that it took 15 to 30 days for the infection of Mucormycosis to spread before the coronacal. In all these patients, the infection had spread in 2 to 3 days.

19 cases in 3 months

Dr. Atul Patel, who is doing a nationwide study on Mucormycosis, says that the disease is spreading rapidly in patients of Corona. According to Dr. Patel, there have been 19 cases of Mucormycosis in the last 3 months. Corona (Covid-19) The immunity of the patients decreases. The risk of infection of this disease increases among people who are diabetic and intoxicated.
