- 4-5 arabic leaves
- 2 cups gram flour
- Sliced onion
- 7-8 garlic cloves
- 3 to 4 Green Chillies
- ½ teaspoon red chillies
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste and frying oil
Prepare these flavored pakoras like this
First of all, make a paste by grinding onion, garlic and green chillies. After this wash the Arabic leaves well and let them dry.
Then take gram flour in a vessel and add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt to it. Add water and make a thick paste. Apply this thick solution on Arabic leaves and after that roll the leaves.
Due to the gram flour, it will roll easily and stick. If you want, make a roll by rolling the leaves round and tie them with a thread. This is the first step, now let’s move to the second step ..
You keep water in a big pot or pan to heat it. When this water becomes hot, place a steel sieve over it. Apply a little oil on the sieve so that the roll does not stick on it.
Place all the rolled leaves on the sieve and cover the sieve with a plate and give it steam. After two to three minutes, remove the plate and turn the roll on the other side, so that it easily sinks on the other side as well. After cooking in steam, they become hard. Now take out the steamed leaves and cut them into pieces.
Then heat oil in a pan and fry these pieces. So it is ready to make hot pakoras of your Arabic leaves. You can serve them with your favorite chutney.
