Fact check check

First of all we cross-checked whether the circular being viral is real or not. The same circular tweet has also been posted on ANI's official Twitter handle. This made it clear that it is not fake. It was probably only after this circular tweet by ANI that several news websites published the news that the central government has issued guidelines for offices across the country. After this, this news also became viral on social media.

– If you read the first paragraph of the circular carefully, it is understood that it is not for all employees. The last line of the first paragraph reads – All officers in DARPG are advised to follow the following protocol. That is, this guideline is only for the employees of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).

– PIB has also clarified through official Twitter handle that these guidelines are not for all departments of central government.

Conclusion: At present, no guidelines have been issued for central government employees across the country. The circular going viral is only for one department.
