new Delhi. Corona's community transmission has not started in the country yet. The Indian Council of Medical Research i.e. ICMR has claimed this. With this, ICMR has also put the results of a survey in front of the country.
The survey was conducted in April-May on 28 thousand families in 83 districts of the country. According to the ICMR, only 0.73% of the population in the districts affected by the corona was hit by the virus. That is, the lockdown proved successful in preventing the corona from spreading.
“The debate on the word (community transmission) is in full swing,” ICMR Director General Dr. Balram Bhargava said at the government press conference on Thursday. WHO has not stated its meaning. The impact of corona in our country is very less. It is less than 1% of the population. The effect is more in urban areas. Containment zone has more impact than that. But it is clear that we do not have community transmission. ”
