Pathankot The Punjab Police has arrested two Lashkar terrorists from Pathankot and foiled the plot of a major attack in the Kashmir Valley. Both these terrorists were in the arms supply for the terror attack in the valley. 10 hand grenades, an AK-47 rifle, two magazines and 60 cartridges were recovered from them.
The arrested militants have been identified as Aamir Hussain Wani (26 years) and Wasim Hasan Wani (27 years). Both are residents of Shopian district of Kashmir. According to official police sources, the two have been actively involved in the transportation of automatic weapons and grenades from the Punjab to the Kashmir Valley. Police arrested him during an investigation on a block on the Amritsar-Jammu highway.
DGP Dinkar Gupta said that during the search of the truck, weapons and ammunition were recovered. Both initially revealed during the investigation that they were asked by Isfaq Ahmed Dar alias Bashir Ahmed Khan from Punjab to deposit the consignment of this weapon. Khan was a constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police and in 2017, he suddenly disappeared and joined Lashkar. Khan is currently an active LeT terrorist in the Kashmir Valley.
