London. The Indian couple has started a legal battle against the British government. The couple says the government refused to address safety concerns related to the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of doctors and health workers amid the epidemic.
Dr Nishant Joshi and his pregnant wife Dr Meenal Vij started legal action in April, seeking answers from the UK Public Health Department. He decided to go to the London High Court on Wednesday regarding the matter. They believe that they cannot wait any longer.
Government refused to settle the issues
The couple said in a statement – We did not want to do this. We had no such plan. We are doctors working in epidemics. We just want to focus on saving people's lives. He said that the government refused to settle the cases being raised by us, after which we had to take this step.
The law firm is representing them in a legal battle on behalf of the bindmance couple. The firm said that the petition filed for judicial review underlined the difference in direction and direction as stated by the British Government and WHO regarding PPE.
Government directive against WHO
Government guidelines have asked doctors and patients who are caring for patients to reduce the use of PPE pests and reuse some safety pests. The couple has challenged the same guidelines. He says that these instructions are against the WHO guidelines. This threatens the life of health workers.
