Jalandhar / Chandigarh. Due to Corona virus infection in Punjab, the state government has taken a very strict decision on Thursday. Now on Saturday, Sunday and any public holiday in the state, there will be complete ban on the exit of people from their homes. In fact, the corona infection is at its peak in the last two months in the state. A cabinet meeting was held on Thursday to discuss this.

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has taken this decision after discussion in the cabinet meeting. This lockdown will be strictly followed in the state. According to the decision of the government, now people are allowed to leave the house completely on Saturday, Sunday and holiday. Now every weekend no shops, markets and offices will open. Only industrial units can open. Along with this, shops of essential goods, milk, medicines shops will be open.

The CM made it clear that during the lockdown till the situation becomes normal, only anyone with an e-pass will be allowed to go anywhere. Common citizens, health workers or people associated with other services can download e-pass from Kova app with a good reason. Apart from this, everyone coming into the state from Delhi is being closely monitored.

A statement from the Chief Minister's Office said that on an average, 500-800 vehicles are arriving daily from the national capital to Punjab. The decision to take stern action on people coming from Delhi will be taken after review by experts.
