Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has accused the erstwhile Congress government of playing a promise. On Thursday, he said that the Congress, which came to the government by making false promises to the people, did not fulfill even a single promise of its promissory note, due to which it has come down to them. Shivraj Singh Chauhan was addressing prominent workers of 11 assembly constituencies in the party state office. State President Vishnudutt Sharma and State Organization General Secretary Suhas Bhagat were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that the foundation of the Congress government was laid on lies and deception, hence its fate. The Congress lied to the people of the state and did not fulfill even a single word of its promissory note. Shivraj said that when senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia opposed the government's promise, he was challenged to take to the streets. He said that Scindia came forward and resigned along with his colleagues. At a time when people are not ready to give up Panch and Sarpanch posts too easily, Scindia's colleagues left the ministerial post and the legislature to save the state.
Congress government runs a repression cycle against us
He said that the Congress government ran a repression cycle against our people. Not only the activists, but also tried to crush our idea. False cases were inflicted on the activists, they were tortured by campaigning in a planned manner. Crush opponents, rant, file FIRs and sabotage their homes and establishments, Congress did the same thing throughout its tenure.
Put Chambal Expressway on hold: VD Sharma
On this occasion, State President Vishnudutt Sharma said that the Congress government had stalled the development of the state. This government removed Bhind from the Chambal Expressway project and put the entire project in abeyance. VD Sharma said that the upcoming by-elections are elections between the progress of the state and the rest of the state. He said that the BJP government is necessary for the development of the state.
