Jalandhar. Many marriages in April-May were postponed due to Corona outbreak in the country. There are many marriages to be held in June after the lockdown ends, but this month there are only 6 Muhurats, of which only 5 remain. The government has allowed 50 people to attend the wedding ceremony due to the lockdown and corona virus. The people of Punjab have broken it so that all the special guests can attend the wedding.
These people will call their relatives and friends as shift wise. Guests who are non-vegetarian are being called in the evening shift from 4 to 6 pm, in which Rajma, rice and paneer are being served. Those who are fond of mutton, chicken, kebabs and liquor are being invited to shift from 6 pm to 8 pm. An appeal has also been made to the guests to stop at the ceremony for only 30 to 45 minutes.
11 such applications came with the district administration
There are 2 benefits from this – one will reduce the crowd in the ceremony, the other will be able to attend. For this, permission has been sought by applying to the district administration. So far, 11 people have applied to the administration. The administration is also allowing them. Rakesh Sharma, a resident of Model Town area of Jalandhar, said that his sister's son is getting married on June 27. In this, permission has been sought from the administration to invite guests in 2 shifts. This will not gather more people together and will not increase the risk of infection.
Administration says – rules will be strictly followed
Jalandhar DC Varinder Kumar Sharma said that keeping in mind the guidelines, people can marry their children, there is no restriction for this. No more than 50 people should gather at the ceremony. Strict instructions have been given to strictly follow this rule.
