Srinagar. Pakistan on Friday opened fire in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. One woman was killed, while one was injured. According to sources, the Pakistani army inexplicably fired mortars in violation of the ceasefire. Indian soldiers gave a befitting reply to the attack.
A defense spokesman said that earlier on June 12, there was a ceasefire violation in Pakistan's Rampur sector of Baramulla district in the morning. The officials said that Indian soldiers are giving a befitting reply to the firing from Pakistan. No casualties have been reported in our jawans.
Firing from across the border for a few weeks
For a few weeks, Pakistan has been consistently violating the ceasefire in the border districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani army is inexplicably targeting villages in the Tail and Kathua districts along the international border and around the LoC.
