The famous cartoon character Chacha Chaudhary series will be telecasted on the OTT (over-the-top) platform for the first time. Toonz Media Group has signed a deal with Disney and Hotstar. The second season of the series will be telecast on OTT. Production has begun for new episodes of the show, which will comprise 52 episodes of 11 minutes.
Chacha Chaudhary was developed by Toonz Media as an animated series two years ago. Its first season was launched on Disney Channel in June 2019 following a special TV deal with Toonz.
Chacha Chaudhary is considered a 360 degree brand of Indian comic and animated media.
In the last 5 years, more than 500 titles of Chacha Chaudhary have been published. Apart from this, it is also available as an e-comic in 18 languages. It can also be read at 100 railway stations with Google's free Wi-Fi.

Chacha Chaudhary's character was composed by famous cartoonist Pran Kumar Sharma 50 years ago. The adventures of “Chacha Chaudhary” first began in 1971 with the Hindi magazine Lotpot. After this Pran founded his publication brand Diamond Comics and Chacha Chaudhary became the choice of everyone. Even today Chacha Chaudhary is one of the popular characters of children between 10 and 13 years of age.
TV series was telecasted on Doordarshan
At one time Chacha Chaudhary comics were published simultaneously in ten Indian languages, including Hindi and English. It has a record sales of over 100 million copies. Doordarshan also aired over 600 episodes of the serial based on Chacha Chaudhary, in which actor Raghuvir Yadav played Chacha Chaudhary.
