Shahdol In Shahdol, 6 people died on Saturday due to the sinking of the moss soil (white clay). 4 others were seriously injured. There is a possibility of 6 people being buried. Local MLA Sharad Cole informed Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan about the incident over phone. The Chief Minister expressed grief over the incident and announced a financial assistance of Rs 4-4 lakh to the family of the deceased.

Difficulty in rescue due to rain
The incident is from Paparedi village of Beauhari police station in the district. The administration has called JCB to evacuate those trapped in the mine, but due to rain, there is a problem in the rescue work. Collector Satyendra Singh and SP Satyendra Shukla have reached the spot. Serious injured are being sent to the hospital.
Illegal mine was being run
It is being told that this mine was being run illegally on private land. The villagers used to dig and collect soil from here. After this, traders used to take it illegally. Mimosa is used in making paints.
