new Delhi. Coronavirus killed a record 1971 people on a single day on Tuesday. The highest number of 1409 deaths occurred in Maharashtra. The Maharashtra government says that many of these deaths had taken place earlier. Those could not be linked for any reason at that time. Now revised figures of the dead are being released. Due to these figures, the death toll in the country suddenly rose from 9980 to 11 thousand 888. While in Maharashtra, the death toll stood at 5537.
A record 437 infected people died in the country's capital Delhi. This is the highest number of deaths in Delhi so far. The death toll has reached close to 2 thousand.
Death toll crosses 500 in Tamil Nadu, 103 deaths so far in Haryana
On Tuesday, 49 patients died in Tamil Nadu. With this, the death toll crossed 500. So far 528 people have lost their lives in the state. On the other hand, Haryana has become the 10th state in the country where more than 100 people have lost their lives. So far 103 patients have died here.
Deaths also occurred in these states
Infected 28 died in Gujarat, 11 in Madhya Pradesh, 10 in West Bengal, 7 in Rajasthan, 7 in Karnataka, 4 in Telangana, 3 in Haryana, 2 in Andhra Pradesh. 1-1 patients died in Bihar, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab. Earlier on Monday, 396 patients died across the country.
