new Delhi. The third phase of the ongoing lockdown to stop the coronavirus will end on Sunday. In view of the situation, the lockdown of the fourth phase from Monday is considered to be fixed, which may last for two weeks i.e. 31 May. For this, the central government can issue new guidelines today.

Full ban may apply to more than 30 municipalities in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Odisha. Sources said that domestic airlines, metro, bus and auto rickshaws can be given a limited scope exemption in the fourth phase. In this phase, it is ready to approve opening of barber shops, restaurants, local markets, home improvement shops in the Green and Orange zones with strict conditions.

Most states suggested a lockdown by the end of this month.
Regarding the situation after the third lockdown, various states in their suggestions sent to the Center have said that the lockdown should be continued till this month. Most states have said that the exemption should be increased and the state should have more autonomy in determining red, orange, green zones. The Ministry has also prepared a detailed guideline taking this into consideration, taking into consideration the risk of life and both.

How were the three phases of lockdown

Lockdown has been declared in three phases so far in the country from 25 March to 14 April, 15 April to 3 May and from 4 May to 17 May. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs will release new guidelines for the fourth phase today. It is being told that air and bus services can start in some areas.
First phase: From 25 March to 14 April, it was 21 days. During this time only permission shops were opened.
Second Phase: April 15 to May 3, it lasted for 19 days. Permission was granted to open shops in Orange and Green zones except Hotspot (Red Zone).
Third Phase: May 4 to 17, it is 12 days. Permission was granted to open shops in Orange and Green zones except Hotspot (Red Zone). In addition, trains and buses were run for migrant laborers. Special trains are also being run. Permission to work with conditions was given in factories. Apart from this, other stranded Indians are being brought to India through Vande India and Samudra Setu Mission.
