New Delhi Nissan (vehicle company of Japan)Nissan India) Said on Wednesday that it will increase the price of its vehicles in India by 5 percent. The company has decided to increase the prices of all models from next month in view of the increase in the cost of raw materials. Nissan Motor India (Nissan Motor India) Said in a statement that the revised price will be effective from January 2021 on all models of Nissan and Datsun.
The company sells its vehicles under the Datsun and Nissan brands. It includes Datsun Ready Go and the recently introduced SUV Magnite and kicks. Their prices are between Rs 2.89 lakh to Rs 14.15 lakh.
Regarding the price hike, Rakesh Srivastava, managing director of Nissan Motor India said, “In the current challenging market situation, due to rising raw material costs, we are forced to increase prices on all models of Nissan and Datsun.”
It may be noted that Maruti Suzuki India, Renault India, Honda Cars, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ford India, Isuzu, BMW India, citing the recent increase in raw material costs Vehicle companies such as Audi India and Hero MotoCorp have already announced price hikes since January.
