Householder Saint Devaprabhakar Shastri 'Dadda Ji' died on Sunday. With his death, a wave of mourning raged in Katni and Jabalpur areas. He breathed his last at around quarter past eight. Householder Saint Devaprabhakar Shastri was in critical condition and was on ventilator. Dadda ji was brought from Delhi to Jabalpur by air ambulance at 9 pm on Saturday. From here he was taken to Katni. Only after this, his condition remained critical.

Homemaker Saint Pandit Devprabhakar Shastri was unwell for a few days and was undergoing treatment at Gangaram Hospital in Delhi. His health worsened on Saturday evening. He had trouble breathing and was given ventilator support by doctors. But all the parts of his body had stopped working. He was accompanied by film actor Ashutosh Rana, a disciple of Dadaji, who underwent treatment in Delhi.

It is said that Dadaji has a deep attachment to Damoh. He had an in-law in Pura Pyra of Damoh and his maternal uncle's family in Kuanakheda on Hata Road. Presently, his elder son Vyakhata Dr. Anil Tripathi lives with the family in Professor Colony. In the relationship of retired PTI and Dadaji, maternal uncle said that Dadaji's wife Kunti Devi had died on March 29. Dadda did not come to Damoh for a long time. For almost two years, he was at his residence in Katni, in the Kuda village of Katni, there is also the ashram of Dadda ji, where he was supposed to come there too.
