The mercury for the day on Tuesday was one degree lower than the previous day. At the same time, one degree increase was recorded in the minimum mercury of the night. The sky was clear since morning and the weather was hot. As the sun set, the heat increased and mercury increased. By 8 in the morning, the mercury was at 32 degrees, while four hours later the mercury was at 40 degrees by 12 noon.
The mercury remained at 43 degrees till 6 in the evening
After this, by 2.30 pm, the mercury rose by 3 degrees to 43 degrees. This mercury remained for four hours till 6 o'clock, after which the mercury started to decline after the sunlight ended and people came out on the roofs to get relief from the heat. Whereas the maximum mercury of the day was recorded at 44 ° C on Monday a day earlier.
Temperature was 4 degrees higher than last year
At the same time, the minimum mercury of the night was increased by 1 degree as compared to the previous night. The minimum night temperature was 26 degrees. Whereas the previous night's minimum mercury was recorded at 25 degrees. On May 19 last year, the maximum mercury of the day was recorded at 39 degrees and the minimum mercury at night was 24 degrees. The mercury was 4 degrees higher than the previous year.
