On the other hand, in less than two months, a large market of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) Kit has been ready in the country. If the demand from January to now is seen, then the business of PPE kit can reach 20 thousand crore rupees annually.

People associated with the industry say that the business of PPE kits will increase further in the coming time. Every day around four lakh PPE kits are being prepared in the country and they are also being used. Orders worth one thousand crores have been booked for May only, while orders worth 1500 crores have been received in June.

Health workers engaged in the treatment of non-corona patients are taking PPE kits

Now the demand for PPE kits is increasing from hospitals where non-corona patients are being treated. These hospitals are carrying PPE kits for protection. So far, PPE kits are being used only by doctors and health workers engaged in the treatment of corona epidemic patients.

Preparation for export abroad
The World Health Organization (WHO) and the country's scientists have also said that now one has to get used to living with the corona. Therefore, people associated with the industry expect that its business will increase further in the coming times. After some time it will also be exported overseas. Currently, export of PPE kits is banned.

Right now around 40 crore rupees PPE kit is being made
Rajiv Nath, co-ordinator of the Association of Indian Medical Device Industries (AIMED), says that currently two lakh PPE kits are being given to the Union Ministry of Health every day. A similar PPE kit is being supplied in states and private sector hospitals.

PPE kits are available for 500 to 2 thousand

The price per PPE kit ranges from 500 to two thousand rupees. Every day, PPE worth about Rs 40 crore is being made and sold, which can reach Rs 50 crore in June. Mask market of more than one thousand crores has been made. The number of PPE and mask-making manufacturers has reached nearly 200.
