Former Congress MLA and District President Brijraj Singh Chauhan resigned from the party on March 10 for the last 16 years. After this, he was expelled from the party on Tuesday, the 69th day and on Wednesday, on the 70th day, he was declared the new District President of the party.
On March 10, with former MP Jyotiraditya Scindia leaving the Congress, former MLA and Congress District President Brijraj Singh Chauhan had quit the Congress, announcing his resignation as the first resignation from the zone. On Wednesday, Atul Chauhan, former Congress NSUI and former Youth Congress District President, who was General Secretary in the party, was appointed as the new District President of the Congress.
