Mandsaur Millions of locusts have been roaming the area around Mandsaur since two days. The administration is making every effort to save the crop of farmers. At 5 pm on Wednesday, a team of locusts started hovering over the fields around Mandsaur bypass from Piplya via Dharikhedi. Karulal Chauhan and Shambhulal Meena of Pityakheri Jagir, who were present there, tried to drive the locusts by running for two km. On getting the information, the tehsildar Narayan Nadera reached the vicinity with the Patwaris.

It lays eggs where it stops along the desert
Principal Scientist and Founder of Agricultural Science Center, Dr. GS Chundawat reported that the locust is a flying insect. Its origin is the desert region. It lays eggs within 8 cm on the desert. Gives the egg in flakes at a time. Which consists of 500 to 1000 thousand eggs. Their food is jowar, maize, millet and moringa etc. Eggs come out in 2 to 3 weeks.
