NASA found water in many places on the moon, our work may come in future

new Delhi: The US space agency NASA does not miss the opportunity to surprise people by making new discoveries. Recently, NASA has discovered a large amount of water on the moon. On October 26, NASA scientists confirmed that there is more water on the lunar surface than previously estimated. Scientists said that where water is present on the moon, the sunlight reaches directly. In the coming time, this water can be useful for humans. This water can also be used for drinking and for producing rocket fuel.

Likely to have water in the form of ice
In earlier research, there have been signs of millions of tons of ice on the moon which is permanently present in its polar regions. According to new studies published in Nature Astronomy, the presence of water on the moon has been found to be much higher. According to Paul Hine, a member of the team of scientists of the University of Colorado, there is a possibility of water in the form of snow in the area of more than 40 thousand square kilometers on the moon.

Sunlight confirmation
According to him, this is 20 percent more than the earlier estimate. Even before this, there was no confirmation of sunlight on the surface of the water. According to Casey Hannibal, a fellow at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, the molecules are so far apart that they exist neither in liquid nor solid form. He also clarified that this is not a water pit.

One of the largest pits is the Clavius crater
Paul Hertz, director of the Department of Astrophysics at NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, pointed out that he already had indications that H2O, which we know as water, may be present on the surface of the Moon toward the Sun. is. This discovery challenges our understanding of the lunar surface.

This inspires us to explore further. Hertz says that it is possible to reach the Clavius crater, one of the largest pits in the Southern Hemisphere. The surface there can be quite hard. This surface can be so hard that even drills and flywheels can deteriorate there.
