Due to Corona virus, the schedule of the tournament has been changed.
FIFA, the regulatory body of the World Football, announced the schedule of 'FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup India 2021' to be held in India next year. With the changed name, this tournament will be held from 17 February to 7 March next year. Earlier this tournament was being known as 'FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup India 2020'.
In the tournament, 16 teams will play 32 matches. These matches will be held in five cities of the country, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kolkata and Navi Mumbai, which have already been announced. The first match of the tournament will be played in Guwahati on February 17, after the new dates were announced by the FIFA Council bureau in May last month. At the same time, its final will be in Navi Mumbai on March 7.
FIFA will announce the name of the host country of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 on 25 June. The host race includes Colombia, Japan and Australia-New Zealand (joint host contenders). Earlier, Brazil was also involved in the hosting race but later withdrew its claim.
Explain that due to Corona virus, there has been a big crisis on sports. Sports competitions have come to a standstill in the last four months. However, a campaign has been launched to bring the games back on track since last month. In the countries where sports tournaments are being held, spectators are not allowed to go on the ground right now. The Indian Premier League is also being considered without any audience.
