India vs England: The England cricket team reached Chennai for the first two matches of the four-match Test series with India. The England Cricket Board has posted a video on its official Twitter, in which it has informed about reaching Chennai. England team has reached India directly from Sri Lanka.
The England Cricket Board wrote on Twitter, “Joe Root and his team reached India for the four-match Test series.” In the video, the hotel staff can be seen sanitizing their kit before welcoming the players.
England and Indian team will go into bio bubble today. After this, the players will stay in Quarantine for seven days. They will be given three days to practice before the first test. After three days, all players will have a corona test.
Ben Stokes, Joffra Archer and Rory Burns were not part of the England team in Sri Lanka. They have reached Chennai only on Sunday. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has booked The Leela Palace in Chennai for two teams. Both the teams have been accommodated in the same hotel, which is near Chepak Stadium.

After reaching Chennai, the players of both teams will go to the seven-day quarantine with entering the bio bubble. After three days, all the players will be tested for Kovid-19. The English team reached Chennai from Sri Lanka, where they have defeated the hosts 2–0 in the two-match Test series. Indian players have recently returned from Australia and since then they were home quarantine.
Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, known as Chepak, will host the first two matches of the upcoming four-match Test series between India and England. Host India has a great record against England at this ground. On the tour of India, England have to play both the opening Tests at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. The first Test will be played from February 5 to 9 while the second Test will be played from February 13 to 17.
