After this Shivani Sahu shifted to Mumbai in the year 2018 to pursue her further studies and career in hockey, then she studied till 12th from Guru Nanak Khalsa English Medium School and then went to Pune for graduation.

Shivani Sahu’s dream came true when the National Center of Excellence Sports Authority of India selected 60 players, in which Shivani was also named. Now Shivani has joined the list of 20 possible players of the Indian women’s hockey team. Players will be selected from these.
Family gave complete freedom
Shivani Sahu considers her family and coach Andrea as the reason for her success. Shivani says that despite being from a normal family, her family gave her complete freedom and sent her to Mumbai and Pune to fulfill her dream.
