Sri Lanka vs India 1st ODI: Shikhar Dhawan creates history without holding a bat, breaks 37-year-old record

India vs Sri Lanka 1st ODI: The first match of the three-match ODI series is being played between India and Sri Lanka at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. In this match, as soon as Indian captain Shikhar Dhawan came on the field for the toss, he made a special record in his name. Actually, Dhawan has become the oldest player to captain India. 

Dhawan 35 years 225 days has now become the oldest captain for India. He has broken the 37-year-old record of Mohinder Amarnath. Mohinder Amarnath captained Team India for the first time in 1984 against Pakistan at the age of 34 years and 37 days. And then he became the oldest captain for India.

Mohinder Amarnath – 34 Years 37 Days

Syed Kirmani – 33 years 353 days

Ajit Wadekar – 33 years 103 days
