San Francisco. Eric Schmidt, Google's X CEO and Alphabet's board member for the past 18 years, has finally resigned from the company. According to the Senate report, Schmidt served as the company's chief executive officer from July 2001 to April 2011 and was its executive chairman from April 2011 to January 2018.
In May last year, Sundar Pichai, who is currently operating Alphabet, announced that after being on the board for more than 18 years, “Eric Schmidt does not want a position again at the end of his current term on June 19” . Schmidt exited Google's parent company Alphabet in February as a technical consultant.
Schmidt accelerated Google's journey from Silicon Valley's start-up to becoming a global titan, no longer an advisor to the search giant and its parent Alphabet.
Thanked the founders of the company
Schmid thanked Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin and other colleagues at the Alphabet Board of Directors and said that I was promoted as a technical advisor by making Alphabet and Google business / tech coach.
