According to a central bank official, on April 20, only 1.31 lakh new followers were added on the RBI's Twitter handle. According to the official, the number of followers on Twitter has increased twice as compared to March 2019. In March last year, the central bank's Twitter handle had around 3,42,000 followers, which has now increased to 7,50,000. Please tell that in January 2012, the RBI created its Twitter account. In this list, Indonesia is the second largest bank after RBI and third place is Latin American Country Bank-de-Mexico, Apex Bank of Mexico with 7.11 lakh followers.
Followers increased due to RBI campaign
