new Delhi. Smartphone manufacturer Huawei has launched the Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) feature for Indian users. VoWiFi service, also called Wi-Fi calling, allows users to make voice calls and video calls from other VoWiFi support smartphone users through a Wi-Fi connection. The special thing is that through this feature, VoWiFi calling can be done even if cellular network including aeroplane mode is not available. It will also work in poor and weak networked places so that users can feel free to interact among themselves.

HD video calling facility

  • The VoWiFi service will prove to be very beneficial for subscribers who complain of weak network at home or office. Subscribers will be able to access the network within the Wi-Fi hotspot and enjoy HD video calling.
  • Huawei's VoWiFi solution will allow any user to access the IMS network. It uses HD voice and video services using Wi-Fi hotspot. Huawei's feature covers all cellular telecommunications technology including radio access, core networks.
