Auto desk. After Celtos, Kia Motors' premium MPV Carnival is becoming increasingly popular in the Indian market. Talking about the sales report, 1620 units of Carnival were sold last month whereas in the case of sales of 1510 units of Toyota Fortuner, Carnival has left the Fortuner with 110 units. Kia Carnival was launched at the Delhi Auto Expo 2020. Its initial ex-showroom price is Rs 24.95 lakhs. While the price of its top variant Carnival Limousine is Rs 33.95 lakhs. It is available in three variants Premium, Prestige and Limousine and it is available in 7,8 and 9 seater options.
Best selling premium car of February
The popularity of Carnival can be gauged from the fact that 1400 units were booked as soon as the booking started, the figure had crossed 3500 units by the time it came to market. Talking about the domestic market, the Carnival has become the highest selling premium car in February.
200 PS power
The Carnival is powered by a 2.2-liter VGT diesel engine, which generates 200 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. It is a BS6 engine and gets an 8-speed automatic transmission. Its premium variants are available in 7 and 8 seating options, Prestige variants 7 and 9 seater options, while Limousine 7 seater option.
Separate infotainment system for front and rear passengers
Talking about its special features, it has tri-zone automatic AC, smart cruise control, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the front while 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system is available for the rear passengers. Intelligent features like wireless charger, 360 degree camera, electronic stability control, hill start assist control, vehicle stability management are available in the car.
